Following a vision God gave him and his wife Amy for a different kind of church, he and a handful of people launched.
Preacher/Teacher: Pastor What loves to study and teach the Word of God and present it boldly in a clear and understandable manner. He helps God’s people apply His Word to their relationships and daily lives.
Devotional life: Pastor What puts a high priority on his personal devotion to the Lord. He is an individual who sees this as critical to the success of his preaching and other pastoral functions.
Professional growth: Pastor What promote his calling through professional growth, including meeting with like-minded Pastors and Elders for discipling, study, and mutual encouragement. He continues his education through seminars, conferences, and the like.
Pastoring/Shepherding skills: Pastor What is a person who: loves and enjoys people; can relate well to a variety of different people in a sincere and humble way; a servant-leader who leads by his own example; able to discern the particular needs of individuals in the flock and provide them with the requisite pastoral care; delegate pastoral care responsibilities among his fellow Elders and other gifted individuals within the congregation; and is willing to warn, admonish, rebuke and correct as this becomes necessary for the church as a whole or for individual members who need these ministries.
Family and Children: Pastor What supports children and youth ministries with a vision to developing Godly families by encouraging and equipping those in the church with a gift and heart for these ministries.
Discipling: Pastor What is gifted at teaching believers to be learners from and followers of the Lord Jesus Christ in their relationships and daily lives. This includes teaching them how to love and study God’s word, to love one another, to pursue God’s will, and to bear fruit for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Missions: Pastor What possess a heart for missions and desire to work with the missions committee to encourage the growth of support for missions at One Faith.
Evangelism: He has a heart and gifting for personal and broader-scoped evangelism and outreach. He encourages, exhort, motivate, and lead ‘One Fath’ in reaching out with the gospel of Jesus Christ to the local community and to the world.
Worship: Pastor What conducts and coordinate the worship service in conjunction with the worship team. He encourages the congregation to worship God not only on Sunday but in all their relationships and life activities.
Visitation: Pastor What visits individuals and families within the church and community and encourages the congregation to demonstrate hospitality to one another and to those in the community.
Leadership: Pastor what leads One Faith in its mission to its members and to the community. He recognizes leadership potential in others, helping them to develop their gifts, all to the greater glory of God.
Counseling: Pastor What possess pastoral counseling skills for both formal and informal counseling opportunities as they arise. He is committed to counseling people biblically. He dedicates a portion of his time each week to counseling people in the church and wisely delegate counseling responsibilities among his fellow Elders, other gifted individuals within the congregation, and to professional biblical counselors in the area when the situation goes beyond his abilities or time limitations.
